Email notifications

Open Site Settings > Email to control emails your website sends members and customers. You can send a welcome email to all members after signup, a purchase confirmation after a paid checkout and a notification whenever you publish new content.

The same screen also has emails sent to you, like form submissions, reviews and comments. Those admin alerts are covered in Site Settings, Contact Forms and Voice Messages. This article is focused on the emails your visitors receive.

Note that these are not newsletter sequences. For campaigns and broadcasts, use Kit, or another provider via the Zapier integration. See Newsletter & Opt-in Forms.

Member welcome emails

Beamly can send a Welcome Email to your members after someone signs up on your website. That includes the signup widget, an opt-in that creates a member and a checkout that creates an account.

The welcome email is off by default. Turn on "Send welcome email to new members" if you want it sent automatically. Once enabled, you'd be able to customize the email subject and content, or leave it to use the default copy.

Purchase confirmation emails

Beamly sends this after members complete a product checkout or a paid membership plan checkout.

(Free products and free-plan signups do not send a confirmation email. Use the welcome email for those.)

This email also includes links to the premium content from that purchase, details about the purchase etc. This email tells the buyer where the content, downloads or private feed actually live on your site.

Publication notification emails

Whenever you publish new content, Beamly can email all members of your website, including people on the Free plan. You cannot customize these emails - they use the title/body of your actual published content. You only choose which content types trigger a send. All of these start off.

Blog Posts. Sends when a new blog post is published.

Podcast Episodes. Sends when a new podcast episode is published.

Video Episodes. Sends when a new video episode is published.

Course Lessons. Sends when a new course lesson is published.

These emails go to website members only. They do not go to people who only joined through a third-party embed form.
