Migrating content on your own

You can easily import a bunch of different content types into Beamly. Here's a quick guide to get you started:

Podcasts

By default, when you connect an existing podcast to Beamly, it keeps your current hosting platform and just syncs whenever you publish or update content.

Any show that's synced or imported to Beamly can be automatically migrated to be hosted on Beamly. This helps consolidating tools and make it easy to manage everything in one place.

You'll find the podcast migration wizard by visiting the episodes page in your dashboard, or the podcast edit/settings panel -

To import your existing podcast into Beamly, simply click on Start Migration and wait until it completes.

Beamly will automatically import all your episodes, artwork, descriptions, and other metadata.

Videos

If you're a video creator, you can easily sync your YouTube channel (or playlist) so Beamly can import all your videos from YouTube. (more info here)

Memberships

We support importing registered members to Beamly. To do that, you'd have to visit the Members tab of your dashboard, then click on Import Members. You must be able to provide a CSV file that has the members name and email - so please filter out any other rows.

Imported members are added by default to the "Free" plan.

More content

For migrations that go beyond podcast feeds or YouTube channels, for example, moving over a full website, blog posts, courses, Stripe subscriptions, multiple podcast shows, or membership content - the Beamly team is happy to help.

If something is not covered by the built in imports, feel free to contact support with a short description of your current setup and what you want to move. You should generally be able to export your content from your existing provider and forward it to us, then we can take over and make sure it's imported.

We'll review your existing platforms and data and do everything possible to assist with a custom migration so you can switch to Beamly with minimal friction and keep your audience experience smooth.

Migrating a Beamly-hosted podcast to another provider

If you want to migrate your podcast to a different provider, you'd have to add the new feed URL in the "Edit Podcast" screen. This would add a 301 redirect from your current Beamly feed to the new host's URL. (Note - you can keep your website running as-is even if you decide to migrate the podcast to another provider)
